Pluck & Pass is a project by Matt Jarosz, a Product Manager based out of Silver Lake. While walking his dog, he often notices fruit laying on the sidewalk - unused and unwanted. What a shame! His hopes for Pluck & Pass are to reduce waste and build community by helping neighbors share surplus fruit.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your username, email address, first name, zip code, and optional description.
Fruit Listings: We collect information about fruit you share including type, quantity, pickup address, availability dates, ripeness level, and notes.
Usage Data: We collect anonymous analytics data about how you use our service to improve the platform.

We protect your data using industry-standard security measures including encrypted passwords, secure database connections, and access controls. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure.

Pluck & Pass is a community platform that connects people in Los Angeles to share surplus fruit. Users can post available fruit with pickup addresses, browse nearby offerings, and coordinate pickups to reduce waste and build community. When you claim fruit, you will receive the pickup address from the person sharing the fruit to facilitate the exchange.
